We're at the Sydney Knowledge Hub at Sydney Uni! Thank you to Sydney Knowledge Hub and EyeJack (eyejack.io) for helping us organise the space!

As always, we are eager to showcase Augmented Reality demos from the community — do you have an AR creation you'd like to show at the event? It can be anything from a prototype to a released app! Students, tinkerers, enthusiasts, agencies — all are welcome! Get in touch and let me know!

If you've got an AR demo you'd like to showcase — feel free to message me here on Meetup, or email me at pat@therealitycrafters.com

Talks from 7pm
Simone Clow from Zebrar: AR - beyond the face filter
Your first interactions with AR were likely playing Pokemon Go and Snap/Facebook Filters. But AR is now all grown up, it is a purposeful tool adding value in many industries - and once Spatial Computing becomes mainstream, it will evolve even further. In this discussion we will delve into the use cases, current and future, for AR technology.

Oliver Weidlich: Snap Spectacles Demo!
Oliver will give some insights into the Snap Summit and LensFest and then demo his Snap Spectacles!

Bastiaan Olij: Introducing Godot in the XR space
Godot is a FOSS game engine that has risen to become the 3rd most popular game engine in the industry. With several years of VR support under its belt, it is becoming a realistic choice within the AR space as well. In this presentation we'll have a brief look at Godot's history, where we stand today with XR support, and what is on the horizon for the engine.

We won't be streaming over Zoom this time around due to lower interest — but I'm going to try to film the talks to upload after the event if all goes well!
