Effective One-on-Ones

Details
You sit down across the desk from your colleague. It's your one regularly scheduled moment to talk one to one, to get insights into their mood, their headspace, and their work. And the first things out of your mouth are "How ya goin'? Good weekend?"
One on ones are hard. Its a careful balancing act of information-gathering, temperature-checking, objective setting, and empathy. I expect every one of us has had that manager that muddled their way through one on ones and left you confused and feeling like a mushroom.
Tonight we have three excellent speakers to present their thoughts on running effective one on ones.
* Kunaal Ramchandani, One-on-Ones: Where Awkward Silence Meets Dodgy Internet Connections
* Lachlan Hardy: Effective one:ones maximise your team members' feeling of certainty, progress, inclusion, growth, and engagement.
* Lucille Stewart : The Anatomy of Effective 1:1s
We'll be opening up at 18:00, with talks scheduled to start at 18:30. Our (increasingly-tenuously claimed) patented Q&A session will follow at the end.
