Queers Hiking (Bidjigal Reserve)

Come hike (or slowly walk) with your fellow multisexuals 💗💜💙.

Located in Sydney’s north-west between Pennant Hills and North Rocks, Bidjigal Reserve is home to the only waterfall in the Hills Shire.

Sturdy shoes, comfy clothes, sun protection, water and snacks... all you are going to need to enjoy this great morning outdoors.

We have two options for the walk depending on how you are feeling on the day. No need to challenge yourself - enjoy, connect, breathe in fresh air and play. This is not a fitness exercise but a social gathering of bi+ people, friends and allies.

Option 1: The longer of the two walks. This walk will take about 1. 5 hours to reach the Falls.

Option 2: a shorter walk to the waterfalls. Less intense and a quicker walk. This walk takes approx 30 minutes.

Both options involve some steep terrain.

BYO: swimmers, towel, heap of water, snacks & lunch, sunblock, comfortable shoes, bug spray and whatever you need.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes, long sleeves and trousers are recommended.

We'll swim in the Fall (optional) and hang out on the rocks, heading back once ready. You are welcome to head back with us or track back on your own.

Exercise caution on the rocks around the Falls - can be slippery. Ask for help if you need any - we are here to support one another.

Before the event, take a moment to Google the trail and the Falls to get a little familiar with the trail and road names. Check out Winifred Falls hike on WildWalks - it's marked as "Hard" track and first part of the hike is uphill (the entire hike is 4.4 km one way).

This event is for all sex & gender identity humans as well as all sexualities. This is a community-led event, so please be kind to our volunteers and co-hosts, be patient and breathe. This event is hosted by bi+ people who are proud of their sexuality. And we respect and welcome everyone. You are not required to disclose any information in regards to your sexuality.

No pets, please, as this event takes place in National Park.
