What we’re about
You: Anywhere from beginner to advanced adult recreational pianist. You may be taking AMEB grade exams, wishing to gain valuable performance experience and that elusive control over nerves - or simply enjoying the experience of playing and sharing your music in front of other like-minded adults.
The events:
Either at a member's home or a hired venue - for which the cost of hire is shared among attending members.
Preparation: One or two pieces (or more, for an approximate maximum of 5 - 10 minutes, depending on the number of attendees and group consensus) that you have worked up to a reasonable standard i.e. able to generally play through without having to (overly) stop and start. The real intention is to discover a (or another) sense of purpose to your piano practice, build your repertoire, and then have the opportunity to perform some of the pieces you've spent your valuable practice time on.
