Beach Model Guided Shoot. Theme - Beauty on the Beach

Hi Guys,

Welcome to our second shoot of the summer and our first shoot of 2020!

Theme - Beauty on the Beach!

We are going to focus on beauty headshots on the beach for this shoot. I'll be providing a classic beauty lighting studio setup on location. Above is an example of such a setup for a past shoot I did on Manly beach. The great thing about this setup is that you can use it for any other genre of portraiture. Photographers only need to bring their DSLR / Mirrorless camera and a suitable lens for portraiture. We also have a HMUA onboard for this shoot!.

Suitability

This meet up is open to photographers of all levels and will be a fun way to take some great shots, learn how to work with models, develop your photography skills and socialise with new friends.

Format of the day

I'll be actively managing / teaching in the first hour of the shoot, with the last half hour set aside for photographers to take the lead.

Therefore I will setup the lighting, choose locations, pose the model and give insights as to what makes a good shot. This will allow everybody to learn and develop their skills and portfolio. There will be one model and we're going experiment with a range of ideas that I have in mind for this shoot.

Location

We'll be heading over to Collins Flat Beach, which is just up the road from the wharf. This is a great beach to do a photo shoot, with a variety of backdrops and locations to work with.

Photographers will need to drive to this location, with plenty of parking available on the road, and then meet up on the beach.

Photography

You are requested to upload your best pics onto our gallery page no later than 7 days after the shoot and also courteously share the pics with the model. Thanks.
