Dangar Island Discovery

Come and explore the forested 30.8 hectare Dangar Island nestled in the Hawkesbury River.

We will catch the 9:25am ferry (opal cards accepted) from Brooklyn Wharf to the Island. After walking around the island (around 3km) and checking out the beaches (High tide at 11:40am), we will have lunch at the The Anglers Rest back at Brookyln.

After lunch, those that wish to can have a swim at Brookyln Baths where there are changing rooms and showers.

If you are coming by train, you need to be on the CCN train that leaves Central station at 7:50am and arrives Hawkesbury River Station at 8:51am. You can also catch this train at Strathfield, Epping, Hornsby and Berowra.

Please bring 2 litres of water, a raincoat if it looks like rain and of course your happy and cheerful disposition.

All members will need to be Financial 2025 to join this walk. A fee of $10.00 is payable each financial year. Please pay your fees before you RSVP.
