Riverwood to Menai

This 16km walk starts at Riverwood station and follows Salt Pan Creek to Henry Lawson Drive. Passing over Padstow Heights, we head down and along the Georges River and cross Alfords Point Bridge. Passing under the Alfords Point bridge we will head up and over Alfords Point to Mill Creek. We follow a rough track along the banks of Mill Creek and finally take the Barnes Trail to Menai.

At Menai we catch a bus to Padstow station and catch a train back to the city.

Sections of track along side Mill Creek have been washed away or covered with debris after the heavy rains. This means that there might me some bush-bashing in a few places.

The T8 train leaves Central Station at 8.30am (8:18am Wynyard), and arrives at Riverwood station at 9:01am. Meet outside station entrance on Belmore Rd.

The walk starts at 9:15am.

WHAT TO BRING.
Please wear good bushwalking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, first aid kit, lunch and 2L of water.
