We know that one of the first things business analysts need to do is to uncover the real issue, problem or business need. From there they need to make sure that discussed requirements and ideas align with the matter that the team started out to address in the first place. Not all problems or ideas are the same because there are different types of problems and ideas at different levels of an enterprise.
For instance, when an idea is generated to increase the market awareness of products and services, we are working on a different type of idea than when we are busy making continuous improvements in the customer service process.
Like the different types of problems and ideas, there are different types of business analysts with diverse skillsets.
