What we’re about
FREE to join. And feel free to join our sister groups, the Sydney Conservative Book Club and Liberty, Life & Free Speech.
This group is designed for people interested in the ideas of conservative thought to come together for discussion. It is the sister group of the Conservative Book Club which focuses more on a specific book for in-depth discussion. Whereas this will be more focused on current topics and the social aspect.
We aim to draw together political & social conservatives by organising social/drinks and discussion networking gatherings.
We will also be visiting various conservative and Centre Right seminars and gatherings (our visits will include libertarian gatherings). In fact, we will even visit Left of Centre meetings to find out more about them and their ideas.
But the prime reason for this meetup is to bring together conservatives, to network and to strengthen their beliefs through conversation, ideas, seminars and readings.

We have heard a lot about Australia’s housing crisis. But there are many ideas floating as to how best to solve the problem. Build better; build faster; build more to rent; build cheaper to buy.The Liberal/National Coalition has ideas too. Senator Andrew Bragg as shadow minister for housing sees an imbalance in some of the government’s preference for effort to be put towards building to rent rather than ways to encourage and assist first home owners to get a foot in the market.
Superannuation is a small pot of gold that can assist; likewise ideas for lower cost real estate investments as a way to eventually buying a family home. There are many ideas in the mix – perhaps it is time to listen to those from the opposition who are keen to keep home ownership in the hands of the buyers.
