🎤 Jeffrey Aven, Founder at StackQL Studios Pty Ltd
Talk: Cloud and SaaS XOps and Observability with SQL
Summary: StackQL is an open source unified Infrastructure-as-Code and Analytics dev tool, allowing you to provision, operate, query and report on Cloud and SaaS configuration and inventory using SQL.
Speaker Bio: Jeffrey is an author, instructor and consultant, specialising in cloud data transformation and analytics enablement. He has over 35 years experience as a Technologist with the majority of time spent in the Data space. He is a passionate founder who enjoys creating things, using data and solving problems.

Talk: DuckDB: 20 problems, 20 minutes - one solution
Summary: Need to find a good home within a school catchment area? Want to find the best TV episode of the Simpson’s? In a hurry to load hundreds of random parquet files with inconsistent schemas? Give me 20 minutes of your time and I’ll show you how DuckDB - the fast, free & versatile analytical database - can be the solution for many a data challenge.
Speaker Bio: Simon Aubury serves as the Associate Director of Data Platforms at Simple Machines. Simon describes his job to his children as being a “data geek”. Although it doesn’t impress his kids, he is proud to have worked around the globe building highly available distributed data systems for finance, transport, health care, insurance and telecommunications clients.
