To kick off 2024, we're exploring immersion, emotion, and the future of design with Dr Kate Gwynne. Come join us for some fun conversations with interesting people keen on design thinking.

With the Apple Vision Pro planned for release this year, the age of spatial computing is now upon us. What will the impact of this and other immersive technologies and experiences be on how we live, work, and play? Dr Kate Gwynne will seek to answer this question, drawing on her PhD research undertaken at the School of Arts and Media at UNSW.

Kate will highlight how understanding immersive technologies through the lens of emotion is the key to designing impactful experiences for users. The session will conclude by thinking about the future of design and how we can take advantage of the possibilities of new technologies while maintaining ethical approaches to working with them.
