Talk #1:
Speaker: Johanna Klaus - Head of Product Design at Digital Creators
Sustainable UX is an emerging field that goes beyond the Human-Centered Design methodology. It looks at the wider context in which a digital product exists, and how it impacts people, businesses, and the planet.
We, as designers, have the power to influence how people interact with digital products and services. By designing with sustainability in mind, we can reduce the environmental impact of our work in multiple ways and encourage sustainable behaviour among users.
In the talk I will cover:
- What Sustainable UX is, why it's important, and how it can help in the transition to a carbon-neutral future.
- Gain an understanding of the areas of impact in the design process that contribute to sustainable UX.
- Learn about frameworks and methods that can help integrate sustainable practices into aspects of the design process to make the product design ethical and sustainable.
About Johanna:
I am a product designer leader passionate about design thinking and sustainable design practices. I’ve been working in this field for over 15 years helping organisations from start up to internationals around the globe to design and build innovative digital products.
