Coogee Beach - Clean Up

Fun, fitness, family & friends - what better way to keep our beautiful beaches clean?

Runners, walkers, and beach lovers - come join us at Coogee for our fit and fun 30 minute cleanups (meeting on the sand in front the main beach steps) to reduce marine debris, build a stronger community, and raise awareness about the dangers of single-use waste, particularly plastic.

We collect data as part of the Australian Marine Debris Initiative https://tangaroablue.org/about-amdi/. We separate the rubbish and count each bundle to provide the data to AMDI.

What to Bring
Please bring water, gloves, hat and raincoat/windbreaker.

I'll bring the bags and have the ADMI app to enter in our data after we have collected the rubbish. I'll also bring a tarp to put the rubbish on and some containers so that the rubbish doesn't blow away when we enter the data.
