Developing for Native Virtual Reality

Many games are developed for PC (monitor), or designed following PC rules, then ported to VR. What would happen if we redesign from the ground up what a VR means for gaming? How does procedural content affect player experience? How do procedural tools help generate content to work from?

Joel van de Vorstenbosch will discuss the possibilities to take the physical nature of the world to another level and the use of procedural content on his work with 'A Township Tale', a multiplayer VR game.

Joel is the co-founder of ALTA, the virtual reality company behind the game "A Township Tale". Joel is an enthusiastic programmer with a passion for both beautiful code and games, and over 10 years of experience.

Python insights: Packet manipulation with Scapy

A power tool normally used by security researchers and hackers. Let's explore ways to use Scapy to fuzzy test games, for fun and profit.
