Welcome to the February Sunday Sydney Social Soapers Extraordinaries Meet Up of 2025! First one for the year. Hope you can make it!
We thought we'd do some thing new and different. A laundry powder to get your clothes clean. No borax. Though I have recipes with borax too if you want those. Easy to make at home. Nicer than the supermarket powders.
And a bonus! A stick cleaner to help remove those spot stains.
You can bring your own favourite scent. Or use ours. We have a wide range of scents to use. If bringing your own essential or fragrance oils you will need at least 30 grams. And it will need to be 100% pure. Some of the best laundry scents types are eucalyptus, citrus and lavender.
We have Covid safe practices in place for all Meet Ups. Masks, anti-bacterial wash and wipes.
Price per person:
$30 unscented powder or if you BYO EO's
$35 for scented powder

NEW: We have 1kg soap moulds available for purchase to use on the day and to keep. These are what a few of us already use. The wooden moulds are perfect to keep your soap insulated and the silicone liner helps with easy unmolding. These are $25, and please message us if you would like to purchase one.

Recommended on the day
- bring a hat as we would be outdoors but under cover
- something to snack
- breathable lightweight clothes. Preferably covering skin on arms and legs and not too loose.
Important things to remember about soap making
Making soap can be quite dangerous, so you will learn about soap safety on the day.
Caustic Soda, lye, Sodium Hydroxide is the most important ingredient in making soap but are also highly corrosive - this is not avoidable. By RSVPing you acknowledge that these materials will be used on the day and near you and potentially handled by you - but as little as possible, and you accept all liability.
