The Thirlmere Festival of Steam is an annual event delivered in partnership by Wollondilly Shire Council and Transport Heritage NSW, operators of the NSW Rail Museum.

**Getting There**

**Driving:**

**From the north (approx 1.5 hrs):**
Pacific Hwy/B83 and NorthConnex/M11 to M2 in Carlingford. M7 and Hume Motorway/Remembrance Driveway/M31 to Wilton. Take the exit for Picton Rd from Hume Motorway/Remembrance Driveway/M31. Continue on B88. Take Thirlmere Way to Barbour Rd in Thirlmere

**OR**
Get on M1 in North Sydney towards the airport. Drive from M5 and Hume Motorway/Remembrance Driveway/M31 to Wilton. Take the exit for Picton Rd from Hume Motorway/Remembrance Driveway/M31. Continue on B88. Take Thirlmere Way to Barbour Rd in Thirlmere.

**From the south (approx 50 mins):**
Get on M5. Drive from Hume Motorway/Remembrance Driveway/M31 to Wilton. Take the exit for Picton Rd from Hume Motorway/Remembrance Driveway/M31. Continue on B88. Take Thirlmere Way to Barbour Rd in Thirlmere.

**Public Transport:**
**There's no transport on a Sunday to Thirlmere.**

Train/bus/light rail to Central, then catch the Macarthur via Airport to Campbelltown:

**Then you will need to organise a lift with one of the drivers.**

Alternatively, you could catch an earlier train to Glenfield, Campbelltown or Macarthur and secure a lift from there.
