Sydney Java Meet-Up - Serverless Event Sourcing and CQRS with Java
Details
Sydney Java Meet-Up #14
Tonight we'll be getting into Serverless Event Sourcing and Command and Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS)!
Everything coded in the session will be contributed to the Sydney Java Meetup GitHub (so there's no need to make copious notes):
https://github.com/SydneyJavaMeetup
Agenda:
6pm - Networking/Drinks/Food
6:35pm - Event Intro and Job Shouts
6.40pm - Serverless event sourcing and CQRS with Java
In this talk you'll get a brief introduction to event sourcing and CQRS. We'll talk about how these patterns can be used to build scalable and resilient distributed systems. Then we'll see a live demo showing just how easy it is to write and build such a system with Java and Spring Boot using Kalix, a serverless platform for building distributed systems.
