Hi all! Welcome to "Sydney Art Walks & Networking". This group is for you if you are curious about art - mostly painting, photography and sculpture. Whatever your background, join us for fun events that will take you to interesting venues in Sydney where you can learn about culture and creativity.
We will go around art galleries and stop for coffee and snacks, if you want. You will get a chance to make friends and professional contacts...

Midweek Art Tour: Exploring "Naala Nura" & "Naala Badu"
Art Gallery of NSW, Art Gallery Rd, near Martin Place, near St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney, AUNOTE: This event is posted on multiple Meetup groups.
ABOUT: Part of a new series of events on Wednesdays - especially for visitors to the city, the self-employed, remote workers, those between jobs and others with flexible hours.
Explore multiple sections of the Art Gallery of NSW - in the "Naala Nura" and "Naala Badu" buildings. Learn the stories behind some of the great historic and contemporary artworks in one of Australia's most prominent museums. Browse through the artistic items and books in the gallery shop. Grab a quick bite or drink in the gallery café. Make new friends!
MEETING TIME: 11:00 - 11:15 AM.
MEETING POINT: Meet outside the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Art Gallery Rd, Sydney NSW 2000. Closest station is St. James.
END: We will finish by 2:15 PM.
PRICE OF TOUR: Please pay $10 by cash on arrival. Or you could transfer the amount to:

IMPORTANT:
- Please check transport in advance. Make sure you sleep well the night before, and leave home early enough in the morning so you can reach the meeting point on time.
- Remember to have a good breakfast before arriving which can keep you going during the early afternoon.
- Please message if you are running late.
- Please stay with the group at all times. You are expected to be "present" and socialise with other attendees - please do not talk on the phone to somebody else unless it is urgent.
- Please inform the host if you want to leave before the end of the walk.
- No additional compulsory costs beyond $10. Drinks and snacks are optional – you may also bring your own.
- Be careful when you explore art galleries. Do not touch surfaces of artworks.
- Photos of the group will be clicked and may be posted on Meetup and the organiser’s social media platforms. Attendees who do not wish to be photographed must inform the organiser before the tour begins.
- Please update your registration if you are unable to make it to the event.

Chippendale + Redfern Art Walk: Acclaimed Galleries & Fun Spaces

ABOUT: Explore a fascinating mini-museum, leading commercial art galleries and experimental creatives spaces in Chippendale and Redfern on Saturday, January 17. This walk is beginner-friendly, and all are welcome - whether you've engaged with art before or not.
Exchange numbers and make new friends as you listen to interesting stories of Australian and international artists...
MEETING TIME: 11:00 – 11:15 AM.
MEETING POINT: Meet outside "Cotti Coffee", 104 Eveleigh St, Redfern NSW 2016 (3 min from Redfern station).
START AND PROGRAMME: We will begin at 11:15 AM - first exploring Chippendale, later Redfern. Midway, we will take a short break.
END: We will end by 2:15 PM near a bus stop. You may walk back to the Redfern station. You may also wait for drinks and snacks and more chatting with group members, if interested.
