Who we are?
We're a social meetup group saying Hi over a drink or two at different pubs and bars in Sydney.

What do you chat about?
Anything and everything. From business networking to just a friendly chat, we're all here to mingle with new folks while enjoying the vibes of the venue. Well, almost everything - have a read of the Community Standards & Media Policy link above.

What's the general age bracket?
Open to all age groups, although we find the majority fall in their 30s & 40s from past experience. We do, however have a handful in their 20s, 50s and even beyond.

Can I arrive late?
Of course. And stay for as long or little as you wish as there is no agenda or theme throughout the booking duration.

What time is best to arrive?
From past experience, generally gets busiest midway of the time listed. Feel free to arrive earlier or later should you wish for a more relaxed presence - some drop by briefly, others stay the whole time.

I don't drink or I'm not planning to - do I have to buy something?
Certainly not. Many of us don't drink and there's no requirement to purchase something for entry.

Are these meetups family or pet friendly?
Depends on the venue. Generally, during the day at pubs, minors (<18 yrs) and pets are allowed if accompanied by an adult while bars at night are not permitted. Best to check directly with the venue via their contact details. In any case, always a good idea to bring valid ID.

Is there a dress code for these meetups?
Casual or smart casual will do - unless noted in the event's description.

Do you "kick on" or stay past the end time?
Some do, really depends on the crowd.

If I'm lost or can't find the group?
Just reach out via my mobile (listed above) or you can ask the venue staff for the booking name (usually under either "David" or "Sydney Meetup").

How often do you run events?
Generally per fortnight (mix of Fridays and weekends). We also run parties and themed events every once a while.

How long have you been running Sydney Meetup?
Since March 2022 - when COVID was done and dusted.
