East Hills - Riverwood: Georges River National Park!!! 14KM Moderate

This walk is full of surprises with a delightful variety of riverside park lands, genuine bushwalking and places of historical interest.

Our starting point is East Hills Train Station from where we find the upper reaches Georges River and head east through the National Park to Morgans Creek Picnic grounds for our lunch break**. MEMBERS MUST BRING FOOD, NO SHOPS HERE.**

After lunch we head through to Salt Pan Creek and exit for a short road walk to Riverwood Train Station, completing our 14Km walk.

Distance: 14KKM

Type of Walk: This classic urban/river/bush walk through the southwest of Sydney took a bit of figuring out, but it is definitely worth it!

Difficulty: Moderate

Walking Pace: We will maintain a steady pace and average 4.5 km per hour.

Meeting Place and Transport: Meet at East Hills Station by 10;30AM. The regular train service arrives at 10:22AM. Transport back is by trains from Riverwood Station.

What to bring: Good walking shoes/trail runners; 1.5-2 litres of water; hydrolytes; lunch; snacks; light rain jacket depending on conditions; sunscreen and a cap or hat with a wide brim.
