Eastwood - The Ponds - Dundas - Ermington - Meadowbank - Rhodes 14KM Easy

This is a mixed bag of creeks, river, bush and parklands joined up with suburban backstreets. We explore less known tracks through The Ponds, Dundas Valley, Ermington, Meadowbank, and both sides of Parramatta River plus the Rhodes waterfront! There is a lot to see!

We meet at Eastwood Station by no later than 9:40AM and make our way along Terrys Creek to The Ponds Walk. This walk will, eventually, bring us to Ermington where we head east to Meadowbank shopping village for lunch and a clean bathroom! Yay!

THERE ARE DECENT FOOD OPTIONS AT OUR LUNCH STOP, OR MEMBERS CAN BRING THEIR OWN FOOD AND EAT IN THE FORECOURT AREA.

Following lunch, it is a 4KM walk across the historic John Whitton railway bridge and a tour of the foreshore at Rhodes before heading into Rhodes itself, and trains back to the City. The plan is to complete the walk by no later than 4:00PM, there is no pub in Rhodes so it will be beer free event.

Distance: 14KM

Type of Walk: A bit of everything!

Difficulty: Easy, peasy!

Walking Pace: We will average 4.5KM per hour.

Meeting Place and Transport: 9:40AM at Eastwood Station. Train from Rhodes back to the City.
