The Great North Walk Hornsby to Thornleigh (Moderate/Hard) 13km
I will meet you at the Station Street Exit from Hornsby Train Station by no later than 10:40AM.
We then have a short walk along local roads before entering the bush track that leads to the Great North Walk. We will follow Benowie Walking Track as it winds though this wonderful bushland and exit at Cherrybrook for lunch at the local shopping mall!
There are plenty of food options, air conditioning and clean bathrooms, Yay!!
After lunch we rejoin the Great North Walk through to Thornleigh Train Station.
We will complete this walk by 4PM, or earlier.
Distance: 13 km
Type of Walk: rugged bush tracks, fire trails, cumulative climb and descent of approximately 400 meters.
Difficulty: Moderate/Hard
What to bring: Good walking shoes/trail runners; 1.5 – 2 litres of water, no refill available along the way; hydrolytes; two snacks and one lunch; light rain jacket depending on conditions, torch.
Suggested Donation: $10
