What we’re about
Keen to meet people who enjoy sharing unfiltered thoughts on books and life?
We welcome anyone who is a reader of good quality fiction. Reading the book is compulsory, or at least reading something by the same author, or reading enough of the book to explain why you really dislike it. But the discussion is fluid, and we don’t dwell on the intricacies of the structure or content of the book beyond what is interesting.
Some of our past reads are The Stranger (Albert Camut), An Artist of the Floating World (Kazuo Ichigiro), The Go Between (L. P. Hartley) and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow (Gabrielle Zevin). We vote on the book each month and try to pick different genres every month.
There is a $5 fee for attending payable by PayID or cash on the night.
