The Road to Patagonia is a stunning, intimate and unflinching series of love letters within a documentary - firstly a love between two people, and secondly between humanity and the Earth.

Ecologist Matty Hannon begins an incredible solo adventure, to surf the west coast of the Americas by motorbike, from the top of Alaska to the tip of Patagonia. But deep in the wilderness - alone with the wolves and the bears - the journeyer’s plans unexpectedly fall to pieces. After losing everything, and on the cusp of quitting he meets the girl of his dreams, a permaculture farmer named Heather.

Shot over 16 years, the result is an adventurous exposé on the more-than-human-world, offering a physical and spiritual odyssey to better understand our place in Nature.

🍽️ After the movie, we will enjoy an award winning vegetarian, all you can eat buffet dinner & then you can do an optional Kirtan Mantra Meditation.
🧘🏽 Kirtan is the chanting of spiritually uplifting sacred mantras (transcendental sound vibrations). It is typically accompanied with traditional Indian instruments such as the harmonium, mrdanga (drum) and kartalas (hand cymbals). Note: This is usually an extra $10.00, however included in our event.

About Govindas Theatre & Restaurant
This is a bohemian inspired cinema experience which awaits you at Govindas. Keep your clothes on but take your shoes off, relax and enjoy is the motto here. Upright seats and couches are available but for most regulars it is all about the lie down beds and the culinary treat after the movie in the restaurant which makes it a night to remember. Operating for over forty years, Govindas, a not for profit enterprise, has cemented itself in Sydney’s competitive dining scene & is widely regarded by the locals as a Sydney Institution.

Special Dietary Needs
The buffet is about 80% vegan. It is also 80% gluten free, the exceptions are kofta balls, pakoras, penne pasta bake and bread. The only preparations containing nuts are usually the quinoa salad and the ice-cream sundae. For severe allergies please ask to speak to the chef on arrival. Drinks are not included & can be Shaken, Not Stirred.
