Are you up for going out and socialising but just for tonight want to leave the booze and miss the pub? Want to give the liver, health and bank balance a respite for a bit and still enjoy yourself in good company? Want to have fun knowing that you will wake up tomorrow without the hangovers and embarassing mistakes? Maybe you live remotely and need to socialise but drive back?

 

Maybe you are a teetotaller/in recovery/straight edge and are feeling left out or intimidated by social circles that always end up in the pub or nightclub, or a rampant drinking culture? Consider yourself in good company - 17% of Australians are non-drinkers. This group is for you.

 

Inspired by similar groups in Melbourne and London, we look to bring together people who would like to have fun and be teetotal (even if just for one day or night) along with those who already practice abstention in surroundings outside the local or CBD pub. These can be anything from group museum and art gallery visits, musical events like gigs or the opera, picnics and BBQs by the beach, sports events, bush walks, restaurant meetups or simple coffee evenings.

 

So whether you are a social drinker, a teetotaller, or you have one drink a month, feel free to join us for a fun time without the need for alcohol.
