Speculative Writing in Focus is a craft-focused day at the Willoughby Literary Festival.

Speculative Open Mic
Present a short story or an excerpt from a longer work and listen to fellow writers in an intimate and supportive environment.

Readings should be no longer than 5 mins (that's about 1000 words) so please rehearse your piece accordingly.

Our featured reader for this session is speculative fiction writer Guan Un.

About Guan Un
Guan Un is an Australian Chinese writer of speculative fiction based in Sydney. His short stories have appeared in publications including Strange Horizons and Nightmare, and he has been shortlisted for the Aurealis Award. His work has also featured on LeVar Burton Reads, the Locus Recommended Reading List, and Year’s Best Fantasy Vol 2.
