TITLE From Uncertainty to Stability: Managing Kubernetes on Spot Instances with SRE

Wisdom words: Reducing cloud costs is one of the major concerns for nearly any tech company these days.
In this talk, we'll explore a few cost-saving strategies to help with Kubernetes' Compute resources bill, with particular focus on Spot Instances approach. All major cloud vendors offer Spot provisioning model with up to 91% discount compared to on-demand prices and it’s tightly integrated with the cloud ecosystem, including managed Kubernetes services like GKE, EKS and AKS. Losing capacity at a moment’s notice is on its own a tough problem to deal with but, guess what - it doesn't end there.

In this talk, we will deep dive into some intricacies of running Kubernetes on Spot, highlighting how SRE can help build a reliable platform on top of unreliable infrastructure and turn this adventure into smoother sailing.
