The Mental Body

Dr Wendy Dixon continues her talks based on the 4 historic texts by A. E. Powell on the Etheric Double, The Astral Body, The Mental Body and The Causal Body. Today we will explore The Mental Body, its functions, its composition and matter, and the manner in which we interact with the world of thought forms and the different sub-planes of the mental plane.

Powell uses the literature of Besant and Leadbeater. Supporting this material we will also have information from Blavatsky’s Secret Doctrine, Hodson’s Basic Theosophy and the Mahatma Letters. This great subject offers us many ideas and techniques for improving our interactions with all sentient beings both visible and invisible to our current perceptions.
Dr Wendy Dixon has been a member of the Theosophical Society for 59 years, joining while a teenager in New Zealand. She has long been fascinated by the writings of the Masters, of Blavatsky, Besant, Leadbeater and Taimni; and was a student of Geoffrey Hodson during the latter part of his life.

We are in Shop 8 and our talks are held in the auditorium upstairs.

We are about a 6-minute walk from St Leonards station, and close to bus stops on the Pacific Highway.

There is metered parking available on the street and the Hume St parking station is a few streets away.
