Bhiigi hai raat Faiz ghazal ibtida karo
Waqt, suruud e dard ka hangaam hi tou hai
[Romanized Urdu]

The night is drenched - begin the ghazal, Faiz
Time calls, after all, for a song of pain
[Translation]

Come join us for an intimate Urdu poetry circle exploring the transcendent poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz

In this moment of global conflict, Faiz offers us a language of hope, beauty, and resistance. A recipient of the Lenin Peace Prize and nominated multiple times for the Nobel Prize in Literature, his remains one of the most beloved voices in Urdu poetry, whose words speak just as powerfully today as they did decades ago.
