Cronulla to Cape Solander - coastal walk - 14K moderate

Details

This coastal walk starts from Cronulla station and follows the beaches around to the Boat Harbour Aquatic reserve, then continues along the Cape Bailey walk and ends at Kurnell Visitor Centre, routing through Cape Solander, one of the best vantage point in Sydney for Whale watching.

Total of 14K walk moderate terrain with an opportunity to spot some migrating whales if we are luckily; estimated 4.5 hours with breaks.

Plan your day:

  • Wear comfortable clothes, jumper and hiking shoes (trainers) with socks.

  • Use sunscreens and hats - pack for the weather, carry a jumpers/raincoat accordingly. Weather expected to be in mid-20s, perfect day to be outdoors.

  • Bring packed lunch, enough water (at least a liter per person) and snacks as needed.

The walk may be rescheduled if there is heavy rain/weather warnings on Saturday. Check back by Friday evening, you will receive an email if changed.
