To celebrate the Opera House’s 50th birthday, the doors will be thrown open for a free weekend of exploration and discovery.

This special edition of Open House Weekend — the first of its kind in eight years — is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a building that continues to inspire artists and audiences alike.

It will take approximately 90 minutes to make your way through the Opera House Open House Weekend route.

There will be no cloaking available. Please leave your large belongings at home as any bags larger than an A4 piece of paper will not be permitted.

Please check the Transport NSW website for the latest advice and information on travel and COVID-19 safety measures. You can catch public transport (bus, train, ferry) to Circular Quay and enjoy a six min walk to the Opera House.
