Symfony User Group Meetup - 16th of October 2014

Thursday 16th of October will be a new Symfony User Group NL meetup! (#sfugnl). The evening starts at 19.00 at Hostnet in Amsterdam.

Show and Tell - don't be shy, just share!!
After the main presentation we have the opportunity for Show and Tell! So, if you have something simple/smart/good/experience that others can benefit from, share it among the group! It can be 5 minutes, can be 15 minutes. (let me know in advance you have something to share)

Bob den Otter - creator of Bolt Content Management
Bob den Otter firmly believes that building a good CMS entails more than just having a solid codebase or "lots of features". Keeping your clients happy requires you to keep their best interests in mind. Bob will explain how to apply this in your own projects. He will also gives an introduction about Bolt: The CMS based on symfony and other modern libraries, that attempts to avoid these problems by creating a tool that's pleasant to use for all its intendend audiences.

Bob den Otter runs a web development company in The Hague, called Two Kings. Two Kings. Apart from that, Bob is the lead developer of the Open Source CMS Bolt. In his sparse free time, Bob likes watching bad movies, drinking good whisky and sharing silly pictures of cats on Twitter.

Nico Schoenmaker - Hostnet - The Hostnet entity eco-system
Based upon a timeline, Nico will about the choices, the challenges and solutions Hostnet encountered with the setup of the doctrine2 entity system for Hostnet, including the open-sourced bundles and components.

The program will be hosted by Hostnet at their headquarters at the beautiful location directly on 'Het IJ'. Thanks in advance for hosting!
