Merry Month of May improv

Named for Roman Goddess Maia, who oversaw growth of plants, fertility and nurturing, May is the month when Spring renewal, vibrant growth, fertility and nurturing take place. Music in May can often be bright, with uplifting themes, new beginnings, creative growth, aligning w/themes of romance, fertility and abundance. So, let our musical musings reflect the beauty and passion of the season.

Syracuse Music Improv provides a safe space for musical exploration for all, no matter your musical experience, ethnicity, gender or background. Based on Music for People techniques, with no wrong note, this is a great fit for any and all levels of experience. Come for inspired fun, Bring your own instrument(s) or play one of our drums, pianos, percussion or just sing along. No prior experience necessary.

This event is free and open to the public. Those who are able, are asked to donate $10-$15 to help cover administrative costs, as well as contribute to scholarship funding.
