This four-hour advanced Lightroom workshop is for photographers who have some experience with Lightroom but seek to get the most out of their images.

You know the basics of Lightroom but know there is still more that you can get from Lightroom. I’ll show you insights into advanced image processing that will make your photos like they were made by a professional. You’ll learn how to visualize how photos can be improved, even while you are taking the shot, which is where it all begins.
Look at the image to the right and move the slider. If in less than two minutes you can’t make the “after” look like the “before” then this class is for you.

We’ll be working in the Develop module where real magic happens. I will use many of my photos to show you how I make images look like what I saw in the field, which isn’t what you get in the RAW files that cameras capture. All photos need some amount of work, some more than others. It could be just adding some black to make the image pop or it could be a good deal of work to make the sky look the way it did when you made the picture. Lightroom is the easiest, fastest and one of the best ways to bring the most out of your photos.

Some photographers think Lightroom only makes a difference for landscape or nature photos, but I’ll show you how to improve your people pictures too. There is a lot more than just making colors pop, I’ll show you how to get skin tones right so your prints look great.

I’ll be demonstrating with the latest version of Lightroom Classic CC and it doesn’t matter whether you work on a Mac or Windows. We will cover a lot of material but I’ll have handouts that help you remember what we talk about and your photos will look better the next time you use Lightroom.

• What the texture slider does
• Black and white processing techniques
• Fixing lens distortions

This is an online workshop, you’ll be able to ask questions and see my computer screen. We’ll use my paid Zoom service to assure you have easy access and get quality sound and video. Login instructions will be sent after you register. The session will be recorded and you’ll be able to access it whenever you like.
