Houston, we are go for launch!
It's the Syracuse Rocket Club's September Launch.
This is a free event, open to everyone. You do not have to sign up or register. You don't even need to bring a rocket, we'll give you one!
Launches start at approximately 10AM and end at around 3PM.
Our theme this month is scale models.
This month’s contests are Sport Scale and Target duration (45 sec).
Model rocketry is a fun, safe hobby for all ages. Spectators are welcome at our launches, and we have free rockets to give away to any kids who attend (just ask a member). To find our field, just search Google Maps for "Syracuse Rocket Club Launch Site" and it will take you right to the entrance, we're just down the road from Van Buren Park. While we do have a porta-potty on site, be aware it is just a field, so please bring water, snacks, chairs, etc. for your comfort. Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended.
