Women In Coding hosts a monthly meetup on the second Saturday of the month. Each month we'll be teaching and group programming in a different language/topic. Usually no previous coding experience is necessary, although some familiarity with basic HTML and CSS can be helpful.

Language/Topic: Dana McMullen will provide an introduction to website accessibility. Participants will learn about accessibility guidelines, how to conduct an basic accessibility review, and how to fix common problems that can prevent a person with a disability from being able to use and interact with a website.

Participants should have a working knowledge of HTML and CSS in order to fully participate in the hands-on exercises. Instructions will be geared towards PC and Mac computers.

Big thank you to Hack Upstate (hackupstate.com) and CODES (codesyracuse.org) for sponsoring our meetups.
