Intro to DBus

While many people using Linux desktop will argue over Desktop Environment (Gnome vs KDE vs Tiling Window Managers) or X11 vs Wayland, there is one thing everyone agrees on: DBus. But what is DBus? Where did it come from? What does it do? More importantly, what does it enable? And how can you use it to help make the Linux desktop experience even better?
In this talk I will reveal all the answers to the above questions and show some cool demos that will inspire you to learn more about this extremely powerful technology - warts and all.
