Talk: Making declarative native GUI apps with Iced
Details
Have you always wanted a little custom tool to do something more efficiently? Maybe a little graphical desktop app would be nice?
In this talk, I'll introduce Iced as a fun way to quickly make your own desktop apps. According to the official website:
A cross-platform GUI library for Rust focused on simplicity and type-safety.
For those unfamiliar with it, Iced is known for being used by PopOS to make their popular Rust-based COSMIC desktop environment. It is is a simple GUI framework that can be performant and has a very intuitive Rusty API. It's very opinionated in a nice way, avoiding macros as much as possible while still being flexible for extension.
Previous experience with Rust is recommended but not required. May be interesting for systems programmers who want to dip their feet in front-end and make their own apps.
