Making Git easier to use with JJ
Details
A few months ago people in this community were interested in learning more about JJ, the version control system. I took the time to use it on a daily basis for several weeks and will try to give a practical introduction to this.
Please bring your laptop!
For those that don't know JJ yet: it is basically Git, but with stable commit references that don't change across rebases.
It is also compatible with existing Git projects, so you don't need to ask your team to change their workflow.
For more information, see the official docs at Github. For experienced Git users I recommend to take a look at their CLI reference docs directly.
The lecture/workshop will be hands-on. Please bring your laptop to try out some commands yourself and solve challenges.
Afterwards, let's go have a drink.
See you there!
