Workshop: Applications of Numerical Mathematics

For this event we prepared a set of mathematical exercises about modelling the spread of a disease with differential equations.

You will be able to try different numerical techniques and approaches in fairly small and modular exercises. You can stay for one exercise (30min each) or stay longer for more.

We will make teams of 2 people and swap teams regularly so you also get to know how others think and stay focused.

(Apologies to the people who wanted Euler problems in an earlier version of the event, we decided to create some custom problems.)

Rules:
- No gen AI
- Use any programming language
- Latecomers don't vote problems

The goal is to sharpen our math and team skills :). Don’t be afraid of the math aspect, we will help you get up to speed.
