Time for our November-meetup!
New lightning-talks, good discussions and friendly people. As you might have noticed this meetup will be in English.
Lightning talks (10 min each):
Accessibility = innovation
- Mischa Andrews, Digital Generalist
“Innovation” is often used as an excuse for avoiding accessibility. Mischa will show how we can pivot these conversations to get more people excited about accessibility and an awesome future.
Lets share our tests
Ida Franceen, Sajberspejs Developer
Build generic reusable tests for common components. Fix it once, reuse everywhere.
The difficult art of caring for other people
- Per Axbom, Responsible Innovation Advocate
Building on ethics, Per Axbom takes us on a journey through empathy, sympathy, privilege, diversity and inclusion. Why is it so difficult to do the right thing and how can we strengthen our ability to make a positive impact?
Open Source and Accessibility
- Erik Zetterström, Accessibility consultant and innovator
How can accessibility benefit from open source solutions? And how do you build a business based on open source solutions? Current success stories and an exclusive peek at the future through Erik's crystal ball.
Apply for a project about assistive technologies
- Erik Borälv, Vinnova
Erik tells us about the new Vinnova grant where you can apply for project funding to create assistive technologies that help people in their everyday lives.
You can arrive from 18:00. Talks will start at around 18:30.
All speakers will use a microphone, but there will be no live captioning or sign language interpretation. The venue has an elevator and a ramp for getting up on the stage. We are aware that accessibility issues are diverse and there might be a problem that we are not aware of. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to us.
