About us
Taalhuis Amsterdam is a house for languages, located in the heart of Amsterdam, where you can learn and improve your Dutch and Mediterranean languages. Because we believe that language and culture go hand-in-hand, we organize events outside the classroom, like language exchanges, movie nights and conversation walks.
Our events are open to everyone interested in learning a new language or refining their language skills.

What is an intercambio?
Intercambio is the Spanish word for language exchange. It’s an opportunity where participants help each other to practise the language(s) they are learning. Each participant is a native or fluent speaker of one language and wants to learn and practise the other’s language.
Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced learner, these events offer a relaxed, social environment where you can improve fluency, expand your vocabulary, practice together, and learn from one another. Our teachers provide activities and guidance, ensuring a structured and fun experience.
