Language courses for children

Would you like to introduce your children in the magical world of languages? This September we are opening new courses for children between 4 and 14 years old for Arabic, English, Greek, Italian and Turkish. At Taalhuis Amsterdam, children learn through full language immersion, using play, music, stories, and interactive activities to build or strengthen a natural connection with the language and its culture.

For children's language courses, we offer a 10% discount on each additional registration from the same family. Please indicate that you are registering siblings in the remarks section of the registration form.

HOW CHILDREN LEVELS WORK

Preschoolers (age 4-6): Children explore the language through playing, listening to stories, singing, dancing and crafting together. The lessons aim to help children to recognise words, sounds and patterns, and to start using the language naturally in simple phrases.
Starters (Pre A1, age 6-9): Children learn to understand simple sentences and conversations and can name and write familiar things, such as family members and frequently used objects.
Movers (A1, age 7-10): Children learn to understand written and spoken short stories and to tell a short story themselves. They also learn to write simple sentences.
Flyers (A2, age 8 -11): Children learn to understand and give descriptions, write and tell a short story and talk about what they did (the day or week before, for example).
