Narita Taiko (Drum) Festival is one of the largest drum festivals in Japan and attracting lots of people with its buzzy atmosphere. The main performances are held at Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and down Naritasan Omotesando, the Edo period main street.

+Pray for Peace Sengan Hana Daiko
One of the main events, Pray for Peace Sengan Hana Daiko, features 800 drummers. One song lasts thirty minutes —a testing the taiko drummers’ strength and stamina. April 13 from 10am at Naritasan Shinshoji Temple

+Street Concert
The street concert features a parade of over 20 drum teams. Eight stages are set up across the main street for drummers of all ages to show their stuff, on Naritasan Omotesando

+Night Drum Concert
The final and main event of the festival takes place at sunset with a powerful performance by drummers with the main temple hall as a backdrop. At Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. Omotesando is lite up with hundreds of candles to guide people home, or to the local restaurants and bars.
