Stories of Hope: Honest Conversations in a Home (No Bible Knowledge Required)
Details
Ever been curious about the Bible but not quite sure how to approach it, or whether it’s even relevant today?
Or maybe you’re looking to meet other 20s/30s in Belfast over a relaxed evening of thoughtful conversation?
This is a gathering in a South Belfast home, for 20s/30s who are interested in exploring a story of hope in the Bible through open, thoughtful, and non-judgemental conversation.
You don’t need any prior knowledge, and there’s no expectation about what you believe (or don’t believe). It’s a small, chilled evening in a private home—so think relaxed, not formal.
We’ll begin with tea, snacks, and time to get to know each other before moving into the discussion. There’s no pressure to speak if you’d rather listen. You’re also very welcome to bring along a drink or snack to share!
Once you RSVP, you’ll receive a message from us. When you reply, we’ll send the exact address.
Each time we meet, we’ll focus on one short story. You can expect no lectures or Gurus and definitely no “right answers”—just guided questions and conversation.
We explore ideas together such as:
- What stands out in this story?
- What might it have meant to people at the time?
- What does it suggest about human nature or life?
- What questions does it raise for us today?
This gathering is hosted by Christians but all perspectives are welcome—whether you’re atheist, agnostic, a person of faith, spiritual but not religious, or simply curious.
If you’re coming on your own, don’t worry—most people do for their first event, and you’ll be in good company!
If you enjoy thoughtful conversation, exploring big questions, or hearing how others see the world, you’re very welcome!
Please note this is a 20s/30s event organised on Meetup by Paul, with Phil, Megan and Gary hosting in person.
