We’ll be meeting in a favourite restaurant of ours. Whether you're new to London or just looking to meet some new people, you are really welcome to join us. We have a reputation of being a very friendly group.

Bamboo Mat Stratford offers a vibrant Nikkei dining experience, blending Japanese and Peruvian flavours through fresh sushi, ceviche, sharing plates and creative cocktails. The food focuses on high-quality ingredients and bold fusion flavours, while the atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, featuring an open kitchen where guests can watch the chefs at work, contemporary Peruvian-inspired interiors, and an airy terrace that adds to the restaurant’s lively East Village setting. The overall feel is modern and welcoming.

You’re not the only one! Around 80% of our guests come solo and about half are attending their first Table event.

🥳Our hosts are there to break the ice, introduce you to others and make sure no one feels left out. We’re sure that within a few mins you’ll be feeling at home.

Table events are hosted by Christians, but everyone is welcome — whatever your beliefs or background.

Some Practicalities

• If you can no longer make it, please try to give us 24-48hrs notice.
• The age range for this event is 18-39.
• Once you confirm your attendance, DM will be sent a week before the event. Reply to secure your spot for the event.
• Please note, Paul is the meetup organiser and the hosts at the event will be Grace and Ashly.
• This event is based in Barking, you're welcome whether you're based in East London or further afield.
