What we’re about
Lets practice Japanese and English in a fun and engaging way by playing board games together! Through games, practice talking naturally while you work together to beat the game (and simply have fun!).
Events will be managed to have the appropriate number of players as well as try to balance the number of native speakers evenly as a possible. Games will be brought by organizers and will start with a one large group game (Codenames for example), and then feel things out.

Who it’s for: Individuals wishing to practice or improve their fluency in Japanese or English. All levels of language are welcome, even complete beginners. It’s also an excellent opportunity to meet new people, practice your English/Japanese, and have fun.
How it works: We'll start with simple and quick social game (Codenames for example) for the whole group to get everyone talking and introduced to games. After a few rounds, we can see how the group feels and split into different games depending on interest and pace.
Our policies: - Our events are by RSVP only - We do not tolerate harassment of our members, and will operate under a zero-tolerance rule and prompt bans. This is your community too, so be sure to make use of all that it has to offer while taking care of it. Organizers are happy to address any questions, comments, or concerns that you may have.

MaRS Discovery District, 101 College Street M5G 1L7, Toronto, ON, CALets play some simple social games to get people talking and introduced to boardgames in general! The organizers will bring the games.

How to RSVP / 出席:

Members will enter the waitlist and the organizer will manually add you to the RSVP. We need to do this to maintain an appropriate amount of players and try to balance out the number of Japanese and English speakers.
