S5: Something's Foul at Shaleslate Town | Lvl 1- 5 | DM Johnny Q
Off the Shelf Games, 173 Fletcher Parkway, El Cajon, CA, USLevels: 1 - 5
Adventure Description:
In recent days, the Royal Dragon Training Grounds have had their stables raided and have lost a number of blue dragons. Although some intrepid adventurers were successful in bringing back a number of the lost blue dragons, not all of the dragons have been returned. Now a message has been delivered to the Royal Dragon Training Grounds that Shaleslate Town has seen some mysterious goings on the east side of their little hamlet and that they need some assistance in trying to identify the cause. One of the town council members, Armin Whisperwind, has even suggested that the cause might be one of the lost blue dragons. Whatever the case may be, Zenith Nightshade, Asst. Master Dragon Handler, has recruited you and your fellow adventurers to investigate this claim.
Notes:
- The adventure is for 1 – 5 level players only.
- All my adventures do include the following mechanics at my table:
- I do a modified initiative system (DC20) – Each combat encounter will have a DC that the group initiative roll must beat to be first in the initiative order. If the group fails, then they will be last as a group in the order. I will provide more information at the table.
- I do a crunchy-crunchy crit system – any natural 20’s will do double max damage and then the player will roll for their last part of the damage.
- I provide a pool of inspiration for each player at the beginning of each session.
- I encourage all players to add their character to my D&D Beyond campaign and will provide a great incentive to do so.
- I encourage teamwork and RPG at every possible moment.
- Most of all I want to see all my players having fun!
Additional Notes:
- Chance of death will be dependent on the PC’s actions or inactions.
- Some content may include the following:
- Mind control,
- Spiritualism,
- Mental health – i.e., delusions, hallucinations, and psychotic breaks.
