Tacoma Code & Coffee @ The Pioneer Collective

NOTE: Please read description on free parking, pastries, and coffee! Please RSVP to secure your spot and help us get an accurate count on coffee.

Code and Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people bring projects to work on, and many other people socialize the entire time. It's entirely up to you!

The Intro Circle
Around 30 minutes into the event (12:30 pm), we will do a standup in a circle.

Round 1:
Your name
Your occupation/professional interests
What would you like help with/what can you help with?

Round 2:
Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool.
Community events you wanna plug.

After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized. Talks/demos will be hosted in a nearby meeting room (details below).

Presentation
Beginner Tips for Freelancing from a Beginner Freelancer - Jeremiah Bratton
Abstract: Towards the end of 2024, Jeremiah decided to leave the job market and focus on running his own business. Shortly after starting, he found the Tacoma Code & Coffee group and in his time here has been asked a lot of questions about his experience. This talk is aimed at pulling together the questions he gets asked the most, telling his story, and filling you in on how it’s going.

FREE coffee and pastries ☕️ + 🥐
There will be free pastries and coffee.
