What we’re about
I've been part of a number of "writers groups," but most of the people in them didn't have much experience writing. They were insurance adjusters, pharmacists, stay-home moms, etc. They loved to write. They just weren't very good at it.
I think the only way to get good at writing is to write. A ton. At least a million words. Most "normal" people only write occasionally or under duress. Journalists, though: They write for a living. They don't write, they don't eat.
So I had the brilliant idea to create a meetup group for current and former journalists who are writing fiction. Not sure what the group will be about. We can decide that together. Critique group? Just social? Moral support? I'm open to whatever the group wants to do. I just want to know more serious writers.
